Joan Dornbach has over 30 years of management experience and has provided creative marketing solutions for a wide variety of businesses. Prior to her appointment at Goodwill of Orange County in 1996, she served as vice president of one of Orange County's most respected marketing, advertising and public relations firms. She has extensive experience in real estate development and childhood education.
Ms. Dornbach has a B.A. in Sociology and Economics from San Diego State University, with graduate studies from the University of California at San Diego. She holds a California State teaching credential.
She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the International Association of Business Communicators, and has served as an executive member of the City of Hope and has been associated with Olive Crest and HomeAid.
MS. DORNBACH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ORGANIZATION'S STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS, THE DEVELOPMENT OF MARKETING AND PROMOTION PLANS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY AND MEDIA RELATIONS, AND OVERSEES THE PLANNING, MEASUREMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE IMAGE, REPUTATION AND PUBLIC ATTITUDE TOWARD GOODWILL OF ORANGE COUNTY. ADDITIONALLY, SHE DIRECTS THE OPERATIONS OF INTERNET BUSINESS ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING SHOPGOODWILL.COM, WHICH HAS GENERATED MORE THAN $70 MILLION ON BEHALF OF GOODWILL'S MISSION RELATED SERVICES NATIONWIDE SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 2000.
