The coverage explains how people are turning previously-owned items into extra cash. People buy from Goodwill of Orange County's Marketplace discounted wholesale auctions and sell on eBay, Amazon, local swap meets, and other venues. The economy is driving much of this trade. Additionally, shopgoodwill.com auctions higher-priced items including art items.

Goodwill of Orange County is one of the largest Goodwills in the nation. A year ago annual sales of the auctions were 7 million dollars.

Doug Wooley, Community Development Manager at Goodwill of Orange County, says: "The more people that are coming and shopping with us, the more product that are able to sell, the more services that we are able to offer to people with disabilities and other barriers."
