Why
More than 1.5 million tons of e-waste is thrown into American landfills every year. As a result, the toxins they contain, such as lead and mercury, end up being released into the air and water. For example, an old television set can contain up to ten pounds of lead. Goodwill of Orange County is a California State Certified e-waste collector that accepts unused electronics, working or not. These donations help people with disabilities and other barriers to achieve independence.
