Very few names have been as influential in the development and history of the guitar as the name Josรฉ Ramรญrez. A family tradition was born around 1870, when a 12 year-old boy began an apprenticeship at a local builderโs workshop. He worked to develop his skills and in 1882, he founded the Josรฉ Ramรญrez workshop. Now in its fourth generation, the Ramรญrez name continues to be the gold standard by which all other Spanish classical and flamenco guitars are measured.

Ideal Toy Company became the largest doll making company in the United States during the postโWorld War II baby boom era. Ideal was known for creating dolls based on characters and people in the public eye, including Shirley Temple, Snow White and Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm from the โFlintstonesโ. While other doll makers at the time used unglazed bisque, which was prone to chipping, cracking, and even shattering, Ideal claimed its hard composition dolls were unbreakable.
