Goodwill of Orange County is pleased to announce the addition of a new physical therapist and physical therapist assistant to its Rogers A. Severson Fitness & Technology Center team. Dr. Peter Nguyen, Physical Therapist and Christopher Thomas, Physical Therapist Assistant were both hired in April 2018.
The Goodwill Fitness Center in Santa Ana is Orange County’s only gym designed specifically for people living with a physical disability or chronic illness. With specialized equipment, inclusive fitness classes and a highly-trained staff, its exceptional 12,000 sq. ft. center provides everything individuals need to improve strength, cardiovascular conditioning, coordination and mobility.
“We are thrilled to add two new talented and professional individuals to our growing staff at the Goodwill Fitness Center,” said Elizabeth Toumajian, M.S., Fitness Center Manager. “Dr. Peter Nguyen and Christopher Thomas bring unique and needed skills in physical therapy to our team, and exhibit the values of Goodwill’s mission of helping people facing barriers find confidence and independence. I am honored to work alongside them at the Fitness Center.”
Dr. Peter Nguyen, PT is a licensed Physical Therapist, who graduated from Chapman University. Peter is committed to helping his clients physically, mentally and emotionally. He believes a person’s motivation and emotions play a significant role in their rehabilitation. Christopher Thomas, PTA is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, earning his degree from Stanbridge University.
The Center’s physical therapy team is committed to providing the right programs for people with neurological disabilities, orthopedic injuries and other medical barriers to physical independence. Working closely with each client, the physical therapists offer specialized and proven fitness options to give a high-quality rehabilitation experience and a full program of injury prevention, fitness and wellness.
The Goodwill Fitness Center remains the only gym in a pool of more than 600 conventional gyms in Orange County that provides suitable access, qualified staff and affordable membership for individuals living with physical disabilities or chronic illness.
