Foothill Ranch, Calif. — November 17, 2025 — Goodwill of Orange County proudly announces the opening of its newest retail store and donation center in Foothill Ranch, marking the organization’s 25th thrift store in Orange County and second location in Lake Forest. This milestone represents more than a new shopping destination—it’s a gateway to opportunity, creating meaningful jobs and supporting career growth for the local community.
The grand opening celebration took place on Thursday, November 13, featuring a VIP reception and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Community leaders, elected officials, including Lake Forest Mayor Scott Voigts, Goodwill OC board members, and more than 100 community members joined together to commemorate this exciting expansion. Guests enjoyed light refreshments, photo opportunities, and gift card giveaways as part of the festivities.

The new 20,000 square-foot space, located in Foothill Ranch Towne Centre, features a continuation of Goodwill OC’s updated interior look, including modern fixtures and merchandising, a textile-stuffed illuminated sign, hanging elements, eye-catching wall art, and more.
The Foothill Ranch store offers an incredible selection of gently used clothing, accessories, home décor, and unique treasures for thrifters seeking quality finds at unbeatable prices. Shoppers can feel good knowing every purchase and donation supports Goodwill OC’s programs that help people build job skills and connect with employment opportunities.
A drive-up Donation Center is located to the side of the building and offers a convenient and efficient way to drop off gently used goods in support of Goodwill OC’s mission work.
As a nonprofit employment social enterprise, Goodwill OC’s retail outposts and donation centers generate the revenue to operate and provide critical workforce development programs to Orange County community members. For every dollar Goodwill OC spends, 94 cents goes directly into these mission services programs that help people achieve their goals through a journey of personal support, work experience and career support.
This store is the latest step toward Goodwill OC’s bold goal to double its retail footprint and mission impact in Orange County over the next decade. Every store and donation center opened is a major step forward to creating a community where everyone has access to meaningful career opportunities.
