A recent evening of thrifting, teamwork, and giving back brought the community together in a remarkable way. Friends, families, colleagues, and community supporters gathered at Goodwill of Orange County’s Costa Mesa store on Harbor Boulevard for a memorable event hosted by Rutan & Tucker, LLP. More than a night of thrifting, the gathering celebrated a longstanding relationship that continues to create lasting impact across Orange County.
For nearly 60 years, Goodwill of Orange County has benefited from the support of Rutan & Tucker, LLP, one of Orange County’s premier law firms. Since first partnering with Goodwill in 1968, the firm has served as a trusted legal partner while also championing Goodwill OC’s mission to connect people with opportunity. Today, that partnership continues through volunteerism, community, philanthropy, engagement, and a shared commitment to strengthening Orange County.
During the event, attendees were encouraged to shop in the store, donate gently used items, and learn more about how Goodwill OC’s unique model transforms donations into opportunities. Guests arrived with donations, helping support Goodwill OC’s mission while also contributing to sustainability efforts.
While many people know Goodwill of Orange County as a place to shop for unique finds and great bargains, the organization is much more than its retail stores. Every donation and purchase helps fuel programs that support individuals facing barriers to employment, including people with disabilities, veterans, young adults, and individuals reentering the workforce after incarceration.
For every dollar Goodwill OC generates, it is reinvested in programs and services that help people build skills, gain confidence, and connect to meaningful employment opportunities. Through job training, career coaching, supportive services, and employment placement, Goodwill OC helps thousands of Orange County residents work toward greater independence and economic mobility.
