National Thrift Shop Day celebrates everything we love about thrifting: scoring unique finds, stretching your budget, reducing waste, and supporting a cause that makes a difference. At Goodwill OC, every purchase and donation helps fund job training, employment services, and life-changing opportunities throughout Orange County.
To mark the occasion, we’re bringing special giveaways and in-store surprises to every Goodwill OC location. Whether you’re a seasoned thrifter or new to the thrill of the hunt, there’s never been a better time to shop, save, and give back.
The Fun Starts Early on August 15
We’re kicking off the celebration early on Saturday, August 15, with special surprises for our shoppers!
🧸 First 40 Customers At Goodwill OC Receive a Teddy Bear Keychain
Be among the first 40 customers through the doors at any Goodwill OC store and receive a limited-edition “I ❤️ Thrifting” Teddy Bear Keychain. No purchase necessary. These adorable collectibles are available while supplies last, so be sure to arrive early!
🎁 Hidden Gift Card Hunt
What’s a thrift adventure without a little treasure hunt? Each Goodwill OC store will hide one gift card on Aug 15 and one on Aug 16 – to spread the celebration all weekend long. Keep your eyes peeled while you browse because you never know what hidden treasure you might discover next.
Sip and Thrift Pop-ups
Goodwill OC will be hosting two Sip & Thrift Events at two Goodwill OC store locations on Saturday, August 15.
