Goodwill of Orange County is proud to announce a generous $25,000 grant from Chevron to support and expand its Workforce Development Programs. This funding is part of Chevron’s commitment to improving quality of life through workforce and economic development initiatives.
The grant will enable Goodwill OC to refine and scale its programs that provide comprehensive job readiness, training, upskilling, reskilling, and job placement services, especially for individuals facing significant obstacles when looking for employment. This includes people with physical and mental disabilities, veterans, individuals with mental health diagnoses, and justice-impacted youth.
Thanks to Chevron’s support, Goodwill OC will continue to empower Orange County residents by offering:
- Personalized case management and career navigation
- Hands-on training in 21st-century skills
- Paid and unpaid internships and apprenticeships
- Job placement support and coaching
In 2025, this investment will help Goodwill OC achieve the following outcomes:
- Serve 2,200 clients through workforce development services
- Enroll 1,600 participants in employment-specific programs
- Train, upskill, or reskill 1,200 individuals for sustainable careers
- Place 455 participants in full-time, family-sustaining jobs
- Provide 100 internships or apprenticeships
This funding also supports the expansion of innovative models like the Goodwill Opportunity Accelerator®—a platform that standardizes case management and connects individuals to career pathways—and the Career Pathways Program, which aligns participants’ interests with high-demand industries such as healthcare, clean technology, and skilled trades.
