SANTA ANA, Calif. โ March 7, 2019โ Goodwill of Orange County today announced the appointment of Denise Desmond as Vice President of Development.
Desmond has more than 20 years of experience working with numerous Southern California nonprofits, including 13 years at Goodwill of Orange County in a variety of roles within the development department.

Since 2015, Desmond served as executive director of the Crohnโs & Colitis Foundation โ Orange County Chapter where she oversaw operations as well as donor relations, major gifts, special events and team management. Desmond has also led fundraising teams at the YMCA of Greater Long Beach and the Alzheimerโs Association of Orange County.
Desmondโs career in nonprofits began at Goodwill of Orange County in 1998 where she got her footing as a development officer with responsibilities including cultivating donor relationships, managing annual events and supervising volunteers. Twenty-one years later she returns to Goodwill of Orange County to lead the development department and play an integral role in the nonprofitโs impact in the community.
Desmond has held a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation since 2003. She received her Bachelor and Master of Arts from California State University, Long Beach.
